In the year 2008 the festival expanded to “Tarp: vilnius/kaunas/klaipėda/šiauliai”, with pleasure visiting the art galleries and alternative spaces of these cities. “Tarp 08” festival programme consisted of three main parts: visual poem exhibitions and retrospectives, live poets’ performances together with video and audio artists and audiovisual poetry screening competition that was open for everyone.
FrenchSuzanne Doppelt created a whole colour philosophy in her installation of pictures and text – „the shaddow is always black, even if it falls from a white swan“ („šešėlis visada juodas, net jei jis krenta nuo baltos gulbės“). Also, shaddows fell from a few of audiovisual poetry retrospectives – Virginijus Malčius work review and an opening of Remigijus Venckus film „Casual compositions“ („Kasdienybės kompozicijos“).
Lovers of the electronic music were delighted with a German performer Antye Greie Fuchs, who is best known with her nickname AGF for fans of this kind of music. Receiver of many worldwide music festival awards, Anye prefers the symbiosis of text, sound and image and she calls herself as „the producer of poems“. Also, the next night was filled with poetic tingling from a band „Betoniniai triušiai“, audiovisual poetry band „AVaspo“ and a Canadian  Dora Bleu, who evoke a raw forest.
The night poetry slam readings are held for the first time and they, together with the improvising artists, become the festival’s main accent for the next four years.
